Our Team

Gregory V. Sierminski, DDS, PC
A native of Chicago, Dr. Sierminski established his dental practice in Wonder Lake in 1977. Dr. Sierminski is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Dentistry, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Chemistry from St. Joseph’s College in Renssalaer, Indiana.

Dr. Sierminski is a strong advocate of continuing education: he maintains membership in the American Dental Association, Illinois State Dental Society, McHenry Dental Society and the Progressive Study Club. Since graduating from dental school, Dr. Sierminski has worked to improve his skills and knowledge and has completed over 1,000 hours of continuing education courses.

Dr. Sierminski has been an active member of the community throughout his years in practice. He has held all offices in the McHenry County Dental Society, serving as President from 1988 through 1989. He was a member of the McHenry County Board of Health from 1999 through 2008, and is a past president of both the Montini School Board and the Church of Holy Apostles Pastoral Council.

Dr. Sierminski and his office staff believe in community support. They have donated their services to the McHenry County Cooperative Dental Clinic, the Illinois Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped, and the Home of the Sparrow.


 

Therese Poetzenger, Registered Dental Hygienist
Therese is a board-certified dental hygienist who graduated from Prairie State College. She has 23 years of experience as a hygienist and has been a dedicated member of our team since 2002.

 


Judy Fergen, Office Administrator
Judy joined our office in 1999. She is the “engine” of our practice and a facilitator for our patients, helping them to receive the treatment they desire.

 



Tammy Williams, Dental Assistant
Tammy has over 20 years experience in the dental field and has been Dr. Sierminski’s chairside assistant since 1995.





Amy Long, Dental Assistant
Amy is our newest team member. She joins our practice with 4 years of experience in the dental field.




Melissa Krause, Dental Assistant
Melissa joined our practice in 2005. She completed Dental Assistant training at the Elgin Community College and has furthered her education at McHenry County College. She will begin dental hygiene school this fall at Lake County College.
